Your Calendar Reveals Your Priorities

What You Make Time For Shapes What Matters Most.

Are you overwhelmed because you have too much to do—or because you haven’t protected your highest priorities?

You can say your team, goals, growth, and results are priorities. But if they don’t have protected time on your calendar, they may be nothing more than good intentions.

As coaches and leaders, we are pulled in every direction.

A last-minute meeting. An urgent request. Someone else’s emergency. Another event that would be “good” to attend.

Before you know it, the work that moves your team forward gets pushed to tomorrow and then tomorrow becomes the next day.

I’ve been there. There were times I needed to adjust for a last-minute meeting, an urgent request, or an athlete who needed to talk.

Those moments matter. But not everything deserves our attention.

Not every meeting is productive, and not everything urgent is important.

When everything becomes a priority, nothing is truly a priority.

What you give your time to helps determine what you are building—your team, your organization, your career, and your life.

Protecting the right priorities isn’t selfish.

It’s being intentional about where you invest your time.

And this is where The Standard comes in.

Your calendar gives you an honest look at the standard you are actually living.

Coach Druzz’s Reflection

Your “yes” has a cost.

Before you say yes to the next request, ask yourself:

Will this produce meaningful results—or take time away from something more important?

Your team follows what you model. The way you protect your priorities communicates what truly matters.

This Week’s Practice

Protect your priorities.

Identify three priorities that will have the greatest impact this week. Put them on your calendar first.

Then, before saying yes to another meeting or request, ask:

“Does this help drive the result we are committed to?”

If it doesn’t, a respectful no may be the right answer. Make time for the work that moves you and your team forward.

What you consistently give your time, attention, and energy to is what you are building.

👉 What is one thing you need to protect or prioritize this week?

The Standard Is the Difference.

Raise Your Standard.
